Country Stars Turn Out For 14th Annual Celebrity Softball Game
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Some of the biggest names in Country Music turned out in full force Saturday, for the 14th annual Celebrity Softball game.
The tradition has been a staple every year during the CMA Music festival, in an effort to benefit City of Hope’s cancer research.
Some big names came out to help, including Scotty McCreery, Sarah Evans, Jana Kramer, Jamie Lynn Spears and Florida Georgia Line.
The artists represented the teams iHeartRadio and Grand Ole Opry and played alongside young cancer survivors, Wounded Warriors and even some up and coming Nashville artists.
"We've always said from day one, we wanted to be bigger than music. Anything we can do to give back and this is a great way during CMA fest. We've got amazing fans out here,” said Brian Kelley of the band Florida Georgia Line.
Though both teams were playing for a worthy cause, Team Opry ended up winning the game.
