Chris Young Forced To Cancel CMA Performance After Undergoing Surgery
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country Singer Chris Young was forced to cancel his performance at Saturday night’s concert at LP Field after undergoing surgery to repair damage to his left hand.
Young underwent surgery in Nashville on Friday to repair injured tendons on his left hand. He was scheduled to perform at the third, nightly concert at LP Field during this year’s CMA Music Festival.
The 28-year-old singer was also scheduled to sign autographs for fans on Friday.
Thursday evening, Young severed tendons in his hand with a kitchen knife while preparing food at his home.
He is expected to make a full recovery.
