Lightning Strike Believed To Have Started Hopkinsville Apartment Fire
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - A lightning strike was believed to have started an apartment fire in Hopkinsville late Wednesday night.
There were flames shooting through the roof of Ravenwood Apartments on Koffman drive when fire crews first arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m.
All four fire stations in the town responded to help put out the blaze, which took about two hours.
No one was injured, but the attic and roof of the building suffered heavy damage.
Though lightning was the suspected cause, the fire remained under investigation.
