Wilson Co. Man Charged With Statutory Rape In Sex-Trafficking Case
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Lebanon man has been charged with statutory rape in connection with an ongoing sex trafficking investigation in Wilson County.
Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 38-year-old Travis Lamar Stargill has been accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a female minor, who was being trafficked for sex.
The TBI began investigating Stargill in 2012.
On May 12, a Wilson County Grand Jury indicted Stargill, charging him with one count of Aggravated Statutory Rape. The alleged incident was said to have occurred in September 2011.
Stargill turned himself into TBI Agents at the Wilson County Jail on Wednesday.
He was booked on $25,000 bond.
