HICKMAN COUNTY, Tenn. – A Hickman County man had to be tased following a three-hour standoff at a home on Tuesday night.

Deputies from the Hickman County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on Bruce Drive in Bon Aqua around 7:50 p.m.

Deputies arrived to find 27-year-old Bryan Hudgins running back inside the home, where a woman was apparently being held against her will.

About 25 minutes later, the Hickman County SORT unit was able to get the woman out of the home safely.

Deputies said Hudgins refused to surrender for approximately three hours of negotiations, but then they were able to tase him and take him into custody.

Hudgins was charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, simple assault and resisting arrest.

The Sheriff’s Department said the investigation is ongoing, and more charges were expected to be filed.
