Inmate Caught Trying To Scale Fence At Tenn. Prison For Women
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An inmate at the Tennessee Prison for Women was apprehended Monday afternoon, after attempting to scale a fence inside the recreation yard.
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Correction said officers were leading a group of inmates to the recreation area, when inmate Bridget King ran to the fence and tried to climb it.
King was soon apprehended by officers. She was treated for minor cuts sustained during the incident.
She has been serving an eight year sentence for aggravated burglary and theft of property convictions in Sevier County.
TDOC officials said additional disciplinary charges are pending.
