Passenger Accused Of Making Threats On Board Flight To Houston

CREATED Jun 2, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A flight headed from Nashville to Houston had to return to the gate after a passenger allegedly made some threats against another person on board the plane.

The United flight was on the runway around 12:30 p.m. Sunday when it returned to the gate following takeoff due to a disruptive passenger.

A Davidson County affidavit said the flight attendant informed police officers who responded that 43-year-old Lashonda Williams had made some statements that were causing anxiety and fear throughout the aircraft.

Williams allegedly had threatened a woman on board who had asked her to turn off her cell phone due to the aircraft being in flight. The affidavit said Williams told the woman, “I kill white people like you.”

The woman also told police that Williams threatened to follow her once they got off the flight in Houston and find out where she lived.

Williams was taken into custody, and charged with assault. She has since been released on $3,000 bond.
