CMA Fest Brings Road Closures, Parking Problems To Nashville

CREATED Jun 2, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Thousands of people have been projected to descend upon Nashville for the upcoming CMA Music Festival and parking problems, along with many road closures, can be expected.

On Monday, the following roads will be closed: Titans Way by LP Field, Broadway from First to Second Avenues, and Broadway and 5th Avenue around Bridgestone Arena.

Parking was also expected to be an issue for many event-goers. Many lot owners, who normally only open for Titans' games, have taken advantage of the busy weekend.

One lot attendant said with less parking because of the new Sounds stadium, First Tennessee Park, more people will need parking.

If you do park downtown in one of the paid lots, always pay at a machine and if someone is taking cash, make sure they have an ID.

CMA Music Festival kicks off Thursday, June 5 and runs through Sunday, June 8. For more information about the CMA Music Festival, go to http://www.cmaworld.com/cma-music-festival.
