Williamson County Deputy Receives Honor

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – One Williamson County deputy received quite an honor on Friday. 

Deputy Brant Pewitt, with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office was selected for the Toyota of Cool Springs Deputy of the Month Award.

Pewitt, who is also the School Resource Officer at Summit High School, helped arrest a man who was considered to be a threat to several school campuses.

As a part of the honor, Toyota donates a check for $150 to the charity of his choice. He picked the organization "COPS" which helps families of fallen law enforcement officers.

Deputy Pewitt has been with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office for the past six years.
