Columbia Man Wanted For Attempted Murder
COLUMBIA, Tenn. – A warrant has been issued for a Montgomery County man after police said he stabbed another man multiple times.
Officials with the Columbia Police Department said 42-year-old Donovan Travis Duke, of Granada Drive in Columbia, has been accused of stabbing 42-year-old Joe Symlar IV.
According to police, the incident occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday, in the 900 block of Woodland Street.
An altercation broke out between the two men and Duke allegedly threatened Symlar’s life. Police said the suspect returned to the area a short time later and reportedly stabbed the victim multiple times in the chest.
Symlar was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and later released.
Duke was described as being six-feet-one-inches tall and weighing 205 pounds.
