17-Year-Old Arrested In Shooting Death Of Antioch Man
ANTIOCH, Tenn. – A 17-year-old high school student has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of an Antioch man back in March.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said Rayvon Walker was taken into custody at his school on Thursday. He has been accused of shooting and killing Moises Zarate at his Oakwood Forest Drive during an attempted robbery on March 18.
Two masked gunmen reportedly approached Zarate and his cousin while they were unloading items from a vehicle around 9:30 p.m.
One of the gunmen grabbed Zarate from behind while the other threatened to shoot his cousin. The cousin ran away, and told police he heard gunshots before seeing the men flee on foot.
Zarate was hit by gunfire, and died at the scene.
