Marshall Co. Man Indicted On Second Charge
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has indicted a Marshall County man on a charge of Coercion of a Witness.
The TBI said Kevin Dee Vanhooser was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly trying to coerce the victim in the crime for which he already faces a criminal charge.
On February 19, Vanhooser was charged with one count of Aggravated Assault after he allegedly shot Jesus Montes Tellez during a heated argument in January. He was later released from the Marshall County Jail after posting $7,500 bond.
Investigators said Vanhooser threatened Tellez by telling him, through an interpreter, that if he testified in court, he would have him deported.
He was booked into the Marshall County Jail, where he was later released on $10,000 bond.
