15 Pounds Of Marijuana Found During Traffic Stop; Woman Arrested
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A traffic stop in Williamson County led to the arrest of a west Tennessee woman after deputies found 15 pounds of marijuana inside her car.
Anna Lee, of Huntingdon, was arrested on felony drug charges and reckless endangerment. A Williamson County sheriff’s deputy stopped the car she was driving on New Highway 96 for a registration violation on Monday.
The deputy noticed a strong smell during the traffic stop, and later found approximately 15 pounds of marijuana in the car.
Authorities said there were two juveniles traveling with the 20-year-old woman when she was stopped. They were released to their parents.
Lee was held on $85,000 bond. A court date was set for May 29.
