La Vergne Police Charge Local Businessman With Sexual Battery
LA VERGNE, Tenn. - Officers with the La Vergne Police Department arrested a local businessman Tuesday afternoon and charged him with two counts accounts of sexual battery.David Driggers, who owns Driggers Auto Sales on Old Nashville Highway in La Vergne, was arrested after a female employee called police and reported Driggers had touched her inappropriately at the business.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division interviewed the victim and then decided to file charges against Diggers.
He was taken into custody at the business and charged with sexual battery. He was charged with an additional count as a result of an allegation of the same actions earlier in the week.
Driggers was booked in the Rutherford County Jail. His bond was set at $5,000 and his initial court date was scheduled for June 30.
