CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. – Vandals struck a Cheatham County park over the weekend.

Police said vandals damaged parts of Pleasant View Community Park. Several soccer goals were bent and cut up, and bleachers were thrown around.

The restrooms have been locked after sinks and toilets were smashed, doors torn off and signs broken.

Police said extra patrols will be monitoring the park's activity.

"It affects our community-- the kids use it for soccer, football, the adults use the walking tracks. They affected a wide range of people in doing stuff like this,” said Tad Wheeler with Pleasant View Police.

Police have not made any arrests, but said they are actively investigating.
