Nearly 6K Without Power During Outage Peak

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A power outage Saturday night, left nearly 6,000 customers without electricity for several hours. 

Officials with the Nashville Electric Service said the outage was reported just before 8 p.m. in an area of West Nashville. 

According to NES, the outage was caused by a breaker failure at a substation on the west side of town.

Crews were quickly dispatched to the scene in an effort to restore power. 

Most customers affected by the outage had their power restored by 10 p.m.
