SMYRNA, Tenn. – Smyrna Police said they have busted three men for credit card theft, connecting them to a string of at least 20 thefts in the Smyrna area alone.
Smyrna Police arrested 20-year-old Daniel Matthews of Unionville, along with 21-year-old Christopher Casto and 21-year-old Desmond Moses, both of Smyrna.
Police said in their most recent theft Thursday morning, the three stole credit cards from an unlocked SUV in Smyrna's Westfork neighborhood, and went on a shopping spree.
“They got over $100 in gas -- multiple swipes, they went to Walmart buying PlayStation games, they even went to Dunkin’ Donuts to get some iced coffee so they could refresh themselves from spending all my money,” said Josh Walker, whose credit cards were stolen.
Matthews was charged with unlawful use of a credit card, while Moses and Casto were both charged with that, plus burglary and theft.
In addition to the Westfork neighborhood in Smyrna, Police said the trio has likely hit up unlocked cars along 7 Oaks Boulevard, Chevy Chase Drive, and the Meadowood Apartments.Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
