New B-Cycle Station Unveiled At St. Thomas Midtown Hospital

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The newest B-cycle station in Nashville was unveiled Friday morning near St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.

Mayor Karl Dean joined Saint Thomas Health officials and B-cycle for a ribbon-cutting at Church Street and 20th Avenue North.

Saint Thomas Health sponsored the B-station as part of ongoing efforts to encourage Davidson County residents to be more active.

The addition of the new station brings the total number around Nashville to 23.

The B-cycle program is used in many other large cities, including Charlotte, Houston and Denver.

Riders can buy annual memberships, along with seven-day, 30-day or daily passes.

B-cycles can also be checked out for an hour at a time with a fee of $1.50 for each additional 30 minutes. More information is at www.nashville.bcycle.com.
