$20K Worth Of Marijuana Seized During Traffic Stop In Rutherford Co.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Nearly $20,000 worth of marijuana was seized Wednesday, after a traffic stop on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County.
Officials with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said Exdier Ramirez and Maikel Marino, both 34 of Denver, have been charged with felony possession of marijuana.
Police said the suspects’ vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation near mile marker 85 on I-24. Nearly 10 pounds of marijuana was allegedly confiscated in the stop.
The suspects reportedly told deputies they were traveling from Denver to Tampa.
They were both booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $3,000 bond.
A hearing has been set August 26 in General Sessions Court.
