Man Arrested In Murfreesboro Homicide
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Police said they have made an arrest in the murder of a man whose body was found in a Murfreesboro creek on Monday.
Murfreesboro Police said 47-year-old Charles Lee Warner was arrested with the assistance of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. He was charged with first degree murder.
Authorities said Warner was responsible for the intentional and premeditated murder of 52-year-old Emad Kadhim Al Azraki, whose body was discovered in Lytle Creek by CSX crews working along W. Main Street on Monday morning. Lytle Creek is a tributary of the Stones River.
Following an autopsy, it was determined that Al Azraki was murdered. Police have not released a cause of death.
Both men were homeless, according to police.
