Cell Phone Left At Apartment Leads To Child Porn Arrest

CREATED May 12, 2014
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A cell phone left behind at an apartment led to the arrest of a man on child porn charges.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department arrested 26-year-old Cody Hendricks and charged him with two counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

An affidavit said Hendricks rented a room on Lincoya Bay Drive, but was kicked out for non-payment in early April.

His roommate found a cell phone and other property belonging to Hendricks shortly after he moved out. When he looked at the cell phone, he discovered a disturbing image of a 6-year-old boy. Officers also found other images that were taken with Hendricks’ cell phone, and police said they were shared through text message.

Hendricks was arrested and booked into the Metro Jail. His bond was set at $20,000.
