SR 96 Reopens In Williamson County After Dump Truck Rollover
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. – State Route 96 in Williamson County has reopened following a dump truck rollover on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash was reported around noon near SR-252/Wilson Pike in the Arrington area. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a dump truck overturned on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
The driver of the truck, 58-year-old Jimmy Arnold, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with non-life threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours in both directions between Wilson Pike and Maple Lane.
The tow truck that attempted to upright the dump truck busted its hydraulic line, and hydraulic fluid spilled into the roadway. Crews worked to clean up the fluid, but it delayed the reopening of the roadway until around 6 p.m.
