23-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash On I-40W In Dickson
DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A 23-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 in Dickson late Monday night.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Anastasia Sloan, of Dickson, was killed after crashing her vehicle along the westbound lanes near mile marker 180 just after 11:15 p.m.
A report from the THP said Sloan was driving a Nissan XTerra when she went off the right shoulder and over corrected. The car then crossed both lanes and hit a guardrail before overturning.
Sloan, who investigators said was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The interstate was closed for several hours while investigators remained on scene.
