NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A road in south Nashville remained blocked after a crash knocked some wires into the roadway.
Nolensville Pike between Concord and Holt Road has been blocked by the crash that happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Sky 5 HD showed a damaged maroon SUV that had apparently crashed into a pole, knocking the wires down. The wires from the pole got tangled on a passing tractor trailer while police were directing traffic through the area.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police remained on scene, blocking traffic, but it was unknown when the road would reopen. Nashville Electric Crews were also on scene working to remove and repair the lines.
Nearly 1,000 people in the area were reportedly without power shortly after the crash, but power has since been restored.
