Library Still Collecting Stories From 2010 Nashville Flood

NASHVILLE, Tenn - This week, Nashville and all of Middle Tennessee marked the fourth anniversary of the 2010 floods.

Some said it seems like yesterday, while others said it feels like an eternity since the Cumberland left its banks.

Everyone who went through it has a story to tell and those stories are still being documented.

The Nashville Public Library has been archiving pictures and audio since the flood waters receded and they're still collecting them now.

"Two weeks after the water subsided the library archivist crew went out with about 40 volunteers and were determined to get people's stories about what happened to them during the flood," said library spokesperson Andrea Fanta.

The Nashville Library has most of its Flood Project online where you can view the photos and hear stories and submit your own.
