Clarksville Woman Credited With Saving Friend’s Life
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Clarksville woman has been credited with saving her friend’s life after stopping her car from rolling down a 40-foot-drop.
Clarksville Police were called Wednesday after a driver backed off the pavement of a driveway on Whitehall Drive, which was above a 40-foot drop.
Before police could arrive, the resident of the home, Dilza Hicks, started putting rocks behind the car tires to keep it from falling over the edge while the driver kept pressing the brakes.
That stopped the vehicle from going any further until Clarksville Police Officers arrived and a wrecker were able to pull the car to safety.
Clarksville Police recognized Hicks for her “quick and selfless actions. She put herself in danger in order to ensure the safety of another person. Her selfless actions should be an inspiration to us all.”
