MANCHESTER, Tenn. - Heavy rains and even a tornado warning threatened Coffee County Monday night.
After a rainy day, conditions calmed down by the evening hours but not before a few scary moments. The same system that caused a tornado to touch down in Lincoln County resulted in a tornado warning for Coffee County. Luckily, the system weakened and no damage was reported.
The main issue in Manchester was heavy rain and lightning. The Emergency Management Office in Manchester reported one home hit by lightning in Tullahoma. The EMA director will be monitoring conditions into the early morning hours.
No power outages to report and no flooding problems.
There is potential damage reports will begin to filtering in by the morning hours.
