CREATED Apr 23, 2014
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An ex-convict was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the shooting death of a man during a dice game.

Gang Unit detectives took 34-year-old DeMichael Moore into custody at his residence after he was indicted on felony counts of especially aggravated robbery and premeditated murder.

Police said he was involved in the shooting death of 22-year-old Spencer Beasley during a dice game in the 1600 block of Chase Street on September 27, 2013.

Moore’s brother, 31-year-old Derrick Darnell Moore, was charged last month with criminal homicide and aggravated robbery in connection with Beasley’s murder.

Police said Beasley was shot in retaliation for a previous incident. His money and cell phone were taken.

DeMichael Moore, who has previous convictions for felony drug possession, aggravated assault, vehicle theft and evading arrest, was held without bond.
