CREATED Apr 23, 2014
LEBANON, Tenn. - A Wilson County toddler who nearly drowned in a swimming pool earlier this month has been released from the hospital.

A statement from the family spokesperson said Addilyn Gray was released Wednesday from Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The statement said Addilyn’s family wished to “say thank you to everyone that helped and supported them during this traumatic incident. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this recovery process.”

The 2-year-old’s release came nearly two weeks after she nearly drowned in the pool at the home in the 500 block of Hicks Hollow Road on the morning of April 11.

Family members said the girl wandered out of the house and fell into the pool.

Paramedics performed CPR and were able to revive the young child. She was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
