BGA Interim Head Of School Killed In Crash On I-75
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Randy Tucker, the Interim Head of School at Battleground Academy, died Monday morning in a collision on Interstate 75.
A spokesperson for Battle Ground Academy said Tucker was killed around 9 a.m. CST on I-75 between Chattanooga and Knoxville. Details of the collision were not known.
Students and faculty have been notified of his death. A special assembly for students has been scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Tucker first came to Battleground Academy in June of 2013 to become their Interim Head of School. Before moving to Franklin, he recently retired as headmaster of Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga.
He is survived by his wife, Terri, and their two children.
