NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Four people, including a four-year-old boy, were injured Thursday night during a shooting south of downtown Nashville.
The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. on 14th Avenue South in the Edgehill area.
Police said a man dressed in black shot the four victims, and then fled the scene.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said two of the victims, including the 4-year-old, were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Two other victims were also brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds. All four victims were said to have serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Two of the victims were identified as 53-year-old Delphetis Caruthers and Mary Simmons, who is the mother of the 4-year-old.
Police said Caruthers got into an argument with two men, but Simmons did not know who they men were.
