Sparta Man Killed In Crash On I-65 In Southern Kentucky
HART COUNTY, Ky. – A Tennessee man was killed in a crash in southern Kentucky on Wednesday night.
Kentucky State Police said 50-year-old Martin Pack, of Sparta, Tennessee, was killed in the crash involving two commercial vehicles on Interstate 65 south in Hart County.
Troopers said Pack was driving a commercial vehicle when he collided into the back of another commercial vehicle that had been stopped in stalled traffic in a construction zone at mile marker 68. Investigators said Pack did not see that traffic was stalled before the crash around 9 p.m.
Pack was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other commercial vehicle was not hurt.
The investigation was still ongoing.
