Williamson Co. Sheriff's Office Warns Residents About Jury Duty Scam
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. - The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said at least five Brentwood residents have been victims of a jury duty scam.
Authorities said residents get a call from men purporting to be from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office warrant division.
The scammer threatens the residents to pay money for missing jury duty or face going to jail.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office will never call anyone to ask for payments for missing jury duty.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office is also investigating similar scams in the Murfreesboro area.
