2 Injured In Altercation At Springfield Walmart
SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – Two people were injured Monday when an altercation broke out in the parking lot of a Robertson County Walmart.
Officials with the Springfield Police Department said the incident was reported just before 2 p.m. in the parking lot of a Walmart located on Tom Austin Highway in Springfield.
Police said one person was initially transported to Northcrest Medical Center with a stab wound to the chest. The victim was later flown by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center due to the severity of the injuries.
A second person was also pistol whipped in the incident. The victim was treated at Northcrest Medical Center and later released.
No one has been charged in the incident. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
