Parolee Facing Multiple Charges After Arrest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A parolee is facing multiple charges after he was arrested Tuesday.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 31-year-old Timothy McManama was arrested after detectives responded to reports of an armed man slumped over in the front seat of an SUV at a Kangaroo Express on Haywood Lane.

Police said McManama was found extremely intoxicated, with a semi-automatic pistol in his right hand. He was disarmed and taken into custody.

He was charged with felon in possession of a handgun, aggravated burglary, felony theft, drug possession, domestic assault and assault. A warrant had already been issued, charging him with domestic assault after police said he got into an early morning altercation with his girlfriend.

According to investigators, several stolen items were also recovered inside his vehicle, including a laptop, iPad and prescription medication.

He has previous convictions for aggravated burglary, burglary of a motor vehicle and drug possession.
