Shooting Investigation Leads To Drug Arrest
JACKSON, Tenn. – A Madison County man has been arrested and charged with drug possession after police were called to his residence to investigate a shooting.
Officials with the Jackson Police Department said 67-year-old Travis Conner was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia after drugs were found inside his duplex.
Police said a male gunshot victim showed up to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital around 9 p.m. Saturday night and told officers he was shot at a duplex on Carolene Drive.
Detectives the discovery was made when they went to the scene of the shooting to interview Conner. They said 1.4 grams of cocaine and 113.4 grams of marijuana were found inside the residence.
Conner has been scheduled to appear in court Monday at 8 a.m.
