GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. – A Goodlettsville man was shot and killed inside his home Saturday night during an apparent robbery.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 76-year-old Jack Davis, Jr. was shot and killed inside his home on Springfield Highway.
A 64-year-old friend of Davis, who was also inside the home at the time of the shooting, was wounded. His identity was not known.
Police said two masked gunmen entered the home and demanded money before shots were fired.
Davis died on the scene as a result of his injuries. The friend was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is expected to make a full recovery.
Investigators said the suspects were described as two black males, who may have fled the scene in an older model, lightly colored pick-up truck.
According to police, Davis was known to conduct business from his home, including buying and selling vehicles.
