NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Arson investigators were trying to determine what started a suspicious fire that damaged a house in north Nashville on Thursday morning.
The home on 23rd Avenue North was fully engulfed in flames when the first firefighters got on the scene around 4:15 a.m.
The flames were quickly put out, but the home suffered serious damage. It was believed to have started on a couch in the living room, and quickly spread. The fire chief said it was likely intentionally set.
The home had been vacant, with the previous residents moving out a couple of weeks ago.
No one was hurt.
