Man Charged In 2013 Shooting Death During Dice Game
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville man has been arrested in connection with the September 2013 shooting death a man during a dice game.
SWAT members arrested 31-year-old Derrick Darnell Moore Monday morning during a vehicle stop on 44th Avenue North.
Moore was charged with criminal homicide and aggravated robbery for his involvement with the death of 22-year-old Spencer Beasley.
Beasley was shot and killed during a dice game in the 1600 block of Chase Street on September 27, 2013. Police said their investigation found he was shot in retaliation for a previous incident. His money and cell phone were taken, according to police.
Moore, who has previous convictions for theft, assault, and gambling, was held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
Police said the investigation was ongoing.
