Ex-Soldier Charged In Wife's Death Gets October Trial Date
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A former Fort Campbell soldier charged with killing his wife and trying to make it look like a suicide has been given an October trial date.
Christian County Circuit Judge Andrew Self also set an October 1 pre-trial hearing for 33-year-old Michael Korolevich. The trial has been scheduled to get underway October 13.
A grand jury charged Korolevich in March 2012 with the December 2011 shooting death of his wife, Kathleen McGee in Oak Grove.
She was shot in the head at the couple's Oak Grove home the day after being discharged from the Army and returning from her post in Germany.
The Kentucky New Era reported that prosecutors were arguing Korolevich killed his wife and tried to make it look like a drug- and alcohol-induced suicide.
