Suspect Leads Police On Chase Over 4 Counties, 2 States
OAK GROVE, Ky. – A suspect wanted for allegedly shoplifting in Christian County led police and sheriff's deputies from four law enforcement agencies on a vehicle pursuit across two states.
The chase took place around noon Tuesday after officers from the Oak Grove Police Department attempted to pull over 35-year-old Danny Bruley from Hopkinsville. Bruley was wanted in connection with a shoplifting case they were investigating.
The officers lost sight of Bruley in southwest Christian County.
After getting a detailed description, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff's Office were able to locate the vehicle traveling northbound on Lafayette Road, south of Herndon and made another attempt to conduct a traffic stop.
They said Bruley continued on into Trigg County and then back into Tennessee, where they were joined by deputies from the Stuart County Sheriff's Office.
The chase finally ended when Bruley stopped in a driveway off Highway 79 and was taken into custody.
Officials said Bruley faced multiple charges for traffic violations and wanton endangerment in both Tennessee and Kentucky.
Bruley was being held in the Stewart County Jail on $3,000 bond.
