Man Charged In August Shooting Death In Madison
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been charged with criminal homicide in an August drug-related shooting death in Madison.
Officials with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said 21-year-old Tre Desean Bell was arrested Monday night at his home on Rice Road.
As part of the ongoing investigation into Delano Blair's murder in August 2013, detectives with the Madison precinct went to Bell's home to execute a search warrant. Detectives found a large bag of marijuana on the kitchen table and five smaller bags were found in a kitchen drawer.
Bell along with his 22-year-old brother Greg Bell were arrested for felony marijuana possession.
During an interview with detectives, Tre Bell allegedly admitted to shooting Blair during an argument.
Blair was fatally wounded at 10 a.m. on August 2, 2013, in the 3300 block of Moorewood Drive. At the time of the shooting, Blair, who was a convicted felon, was carrying a loaded pistol in his pocket and marijuana packaged for resale in his backpack.
Tre Bell was held without bond pending a hearing.
Greg Bell's bond was set at $6,000.
