2 Killed, 1 Injured In Bedford County Crash
BEDFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – Two people were killed and one was injured in an early morning crash in Bedford County on Monday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 2:10 a.m. on State Route 82 in Bell Buckle.
A 2006 Kia Sedona was traveling east when it lost control and went off the left shoulder. It went airborne and struck a group of trees. The car landed on its top.
Two passengers, 27-year-old Ronald Neely, Jr. and 25-year-old Donald Lazas, were killed. Investigators said neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver, 28-year-old Wesley Luthringer, was injured. Investigators said all three men had been drinking and speed was a factor in the crash.
Criminal citation and charges were pending.
