Two Arrested For Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor

CREATED Feb 25, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two suspects have been arrested for sexual exploitation of two minors in Robertson County.

Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 55-year-old Edward Farmer, of Springfield, and 28-year-old Catrina McQuiston, of Nashville, were arrested Monday after a two year investigation revealed the two suspects had groomed, coerced and solicited sex for money from the two female minor victims for several months. These actions were the cause of the sexual assault of both minors by McQuiston at the direction of Farmer who was present and watched the sexual assault of the minors.

The TBI said the alleged crimes took place between January 2010 and May of 2010. An investigation was launched in February 2012.

On February 19, a Robertson County Grand Jury indicted Farmer on two counts of Especially Aggravated Exploitation of a Minor, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and one count of Aggravated Statutory Rape.

McQuiston was indicted on two counts of Especially Aggravated Exploitation of a Minor, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and one count of Aggravated Statutory Rape.

McQuiston was booked into the Robertson County Jail on $10,000 bond. Officials said Farmer was released on his own recognizance.

The investigation is ongoing.
