Building Collapse Causes Problems In Downtown Murray, Ky.
MURRAY, Ky. – A building collapse has caused traffic problems for one city in Calloway County, Kentucky.
Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the building collapse along the northeast corner of the Court Square in Murray, Kentucky. They said traffic has been restricted along highways and streets throughout the downtown area.
The building was said to have collapsed around 11 p.m. Saturday. Downtown traffic has been closed to all traffic at 3rd Street and Main Street, as well as Walnut and Main Street. City officials said structural engineers will survey the safety of nearby buildings along the street.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area for the time being.
