Shelbyville Church Continues Services After Vandals Strike

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – A church in Middle Tennessee continued their weekend religious services while still having to clean up the mess police said was left behind by two teenage vandals.
Police said they broke into the St. William Catholic Church in Shelbyville overnight into Friday, smashing glass, spilling paint on floors, and even removing the eyes in a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Saturday, the church hosted its first service since the destruction.
"Our pastor was determined, we were going to do whatever it takes even if we had to hold it outside," said Frank Reale, a church member.
The two teens police said caused the damage have since been arrested.
