TMZ Comes To Traditionally Paparazzi-Free Nashville
by Todd Walker
NASHVILLE, Tenn - It has long been an unwritten rule that Nashville is a paparazzi-free zone, but it appears some may have come to town anyway.
The gossip website TMZ is here now. It was not immediately known whether or not they're here permanently or just for a short time - but they've been spotted a few times this week on Broadway staking out the stars.
A few days ago, the magazine Southern Living published quotes from Hayden Panettiere where the 24-year-old actress said she can be a normal person in Nashville and let her guard down.
Country singer Craig Campbell was one of the people TMZ snagged for a sidewalk interview coming out of Winners bar downtown. He is confident paparazzi in Music City won't get out of control.
"I don't think Nashville will allow it, if it does, I guess we'll do what they do and hide and not come out and that's not good for Nashville," Campbell told NewsChannel 5 by phone Friday. "I feel like someone will put together a paparazzi revolution."
