Suspect Charged With Robbing Humphreys Co. Gas Station
HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. – A suspect has been charged with robbing a convenience store in Humphreys County.
Officials with the Humphreys County Sheriff's Office said 27-year-old Luke McFalls, of Canton, North Carolina, has been arrested after robbing a Shell Station in Hurricane Mills. They said the robbery occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators said the suspect walked into the store and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. They said he fled the scene with $700.
Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol were called in to assist with the pursuit of the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody at a Petro gas station in Kingston Springs in neighboring Cheatham County. Officials said 24-year-old Brittany Nicole Smith, of Clyde, North Carolina, was also in the car at the time of the arrest.
McFalls has been charged with armed robbery and felony theft of a vehicle. Smith has also been charged with armed robbery.
