Tractor Trailer Jackknifes, Spills Cans Of Beans Onto Interstate
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A portion of Interstate 40 was shut down in Davison County after a tractor trailer jackknifed and spilled its cargo on the road.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. They said the truck was headed westbound on I-40 when it flipped over onto its side, just past the I-65 split.
The truck came to a rest on top of the guardrail and spilled its cargo of industrial sized cans of pork and beans onto the roadside.
The driver and passenger of the truck were not injured in the crash.
The Interstate was closed for five hours following the crash.
