Two Hospitalized After La Vergne Home Invasion
LA VERGNE, Tenn. – Police are searching for two men involved in a violent home invasion in La Vergne that sent two people to the hospital on Thursday night.
Officials with the La Vergne Police Department said they were called to a home on Greenwood Drive around 9 p.m. for some kind of disturbance.
When they got on the scene, they found one victim who had been shot, while another victim had been assaulted in the attack. Both victims were transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Names and conditions were not immediately known.
Investigators said two men broke into the home, and then took off. They have warned residents within a two mile radius not to answer their door to strangers.
"Be on the lookout. We don't have god descriptions yet; victims couldn't tell us much. Relying on neighbors and their perspectives," said La Vergne Police Chief Mike Walker.
